ABOUT ME

While this quote, of course, should be taken with a grain of salt, I think it perfectly describes my experience as an Editor and Translator so far. Looking for that “something” is never an easy process, but I always felt inside my heart what I really loved and wanted to do. I believe it all clarified when I chose to study Interdisciplinary Individual Studies in Humanities. I wanted to expand my horizons and develop my talents. It proved to be one of the best decisions in my life. Even though studying in an individual way required from me a lot of self-motivation, independent hard work and discipline, it also proved my talent for planning and organising. It allowed me to try many different fields of Humanities, and eventually to complete two majors: Polish Philology (specialisation in Text Editing, as well as Film Studies), and Scientific Information and Library Studies.
I believe one of the greatest successes in life is to do what you love doing. To work on your passions. Editing is my passion and one that requires years of dedication and hard work. Every time I work on a project, I look at it as doing one of my favourite activities. I really enjoy the creative process, and I do it with all my heart. It is what drives and inspires me. It is fun and challenging. It also means that I’m constantly learning and developing myself. A great love and enthusiasm is, I believe, what makes my work – in fact, any work – great!
